LUXURY: The private island comes complete with a spa, gym, beauty salons, bar and a pool

A plush portable island that will allow guest to float wherever their heart desires is set to be built.

The luxury island - which will feature a penthouse, jungle deck with waterfall, and an alfresco dining area – would be the first in the world to move under its own power.

Owners of the island will be treated to 360-degree sea views from the penthouse suite, which can be accessed by an 80-meter elevator.

Around the complex, residents will find all the amenities that they would expect on a land-based tropical getaway – including a spa, gym, beauty salons, bar and a pool.

The tropical abode also features a vertical garden and lashing of greenery including palm trees and tropical flowers. For the more adventurous traveller, the island also hosts a James Bond-style shark-feeding station.

Designers at Migaloo Private Submersible Yachts put together the plans, which the company insist could be built in the near future.

Based on proven technology that Migaloo have available, the company say the moveable paradise - known as Kokomo Ailand - would also be perfect for a high-class hotel, company headquarters or casino.

Christian Gumpold, managing director of Migaloo Private Submersible Yachts, said: "The response has been amazing and all of our clients love the idea.

"We are currently negotiating with several clients who are very interested in the project.

"We developed an initial design concept to show our ideas and the main design direction."

PRIVATE: The islands allow guests to travel anywhere in the world

He added: "Our design team needed some months for this, but the actual details in the design – depending on the client's wishes – will be a much longer and intense process.

"This is common in the yachting industry.

"Living on and with the sea will be a future mega trend, and this island can be a first step to adapt to this new way of living – combined with our submarines, it will be a perfect match."
