Re-using Open Data - emergence of the infomediary industry The benefits of Open Data are diverse and range from improved efficiency of public administrations, economic growth in the private sector by developing new goods and services to wider social welfare. But how do companies actually transform Open Data into economic value? Our recent research on the re-use of Open Data showed the emergence of the infomediary industry, with private sector companies offering services as data brokers, including the collection, cleaning, analysis and visualisation of data. This webinar highlights how Open Data is being re-used by private sector companies, and two companies from the infomediary industry will present how they use Open Data, the challenges they face and how they overcome these challenges. The following entrepreneurs will share their story: - Achim Friedland, founder and owner of GraphDefined GmbH; - André Vermeij, founder and owner of Kenedict Innovation Analytics. The webinar takes place on 7 June 2017, 12PM noon CET – 1PM CET, and the webinar will be recorded.
