Karmapa’s message on the anniversary of Shamar Rinpoche’s parinirvana

On the third anniversary of the parinirvana of His Holiness Kunzig Shamar Rinpoche, Thaye Dorje, His Holiness the 17th Gyalwa Karmapa, shares this message.

Dear dharma friends

The 11th of June marks three years since the parinirvana of my late teacher His Holiness 14th Kunzig Shamar Rinpoche.

I ask all of my students to join me in continuing to pray for his swift return.

On this day, as we meditate on Shamar Rinpoche’s rebirth, may we all remember the example and spiritual teachings of his birth, life and passing. They are teachings of great compassion. They are teachings of great wisdom.
