Books evoke plenty of emotions – a photo series by Yokoo Gibraan (pictures)

Yokoo Gibraan - Book Faces - picture 1

Yokoo Gibraan runs a Tumblr blog with fashion photographs. Most of the pics show beautiful scarfs and accessories she creates by herself, but from time to time a familiar face appears.

In a “Book Faces” series, Yokoo takes vintage books and makes them look anthropomorphic by adding few accessories. The expressions range from happiness to sadness to curiosity to hesitation to excitement. Feelings books evoke in us when we read them, right?

Turning objects into faces is not something totally new, but the facial expressions by Yokoo Gibraan are exceptionally well caught.
