Frigid Morning Followed by a Big Weekend Warm-Up
Layer up! We are waking up to near record low temperatures this morning, but even though its a frigid start, we will turn milder today under mostly sunny skies. The Freeze Warning will lift at 8AM for all of SE Michigan.
SUNRISE: 6:36 AM
We will see a few clouds mix in throughout the morning, but the cloud cover will be brief as it pushes out midday with Honolulu blue skies on tap this afternoon for the first day of the NFL Draft downtown. Highs will be a little milder from yesterday as we top out in the mid-50s.
SUNSET: 8:27 PM
We continue a warming trend into Friday as we welcome back sunshine, more seasonal highs in the mid 60s, but a little breezy. Showers are likely Friday night with windy and warm conditions this weekend. There is a better chance for rain to roll in before daybreak on Saturday, but then appears to be more spotty throughout the rest of the day and possibly into Sunday. We could be flirting with a record high on Sunday as the current record stands at 84 degrees. Staying well above average to start the next work week with highs trending in the 70s.
