RICHMOND, Va. (January 11, 2012) -- For just the second time in CAA Football history the league had six among a season's final Top 25.  Maine, Towson and Old Dominion all appear among the final Top 10.

The last time CAA Football ended a season with six among the Top 25 was 2008 following Richmond's National Championship win over Montana.  The league boasted four among the Top 10 and three more teams ranked than any other conference in the country.

Maine, picked to finish ninth in the preseason, ended 2011 at No. 8 following a loss in the NCAA Qquarterfinals at Georgia Southern.  Towson, CAA Football Champions in 2011, came in at No. 9 while league-newcomer Old Dominion rounded out the Top 10.

New Hampshire extended its streak of weeks among the Top 25 to 112-straight with a No. 11 postseason ranking.  James Madison, which garnered an opening round playoff win at Eastern Kentucky, finished 2011 ranked No. 15.  Delaware rounded out the league's six with a spot at No. 17.

The league extends its streak to 14-straight weeks six or more squads among the Top 25.  Over the last five years no league in the country can boast having six or more teams ranked.
