RICHMOND, Va. (October 24, 2011) -- CAA Football announced its Player of the Week honorees, Monday, Oct. 24. Four individuals earned honors after showcasing superb efforts in contests played in Week 8 of the 2011 season, including New Hampshire's Matt Evans and Dontra Peters, and Towson's Grant Enders and Terrance West.

CAA Football Offensive Player of the Week - Grant Enders, QB, Towson
Enders helped lead Towson to its third-straight win and second-consecutive victory on the road, topping William and Mary 38-27, to earn the CAA Football Offensive Player of the Week honor. The sophomore completed 15 of 21 passes for 203 yards and two touchdowns. He also rushed six times for a total of 37 yards. Enders, who is now 6-0 as the Towson starting quarterback, directed five touchdown-scoring drives against a Tribe defense which had surrendered just 13 touchdowns in its seven previous games.

CAA Football Defensive Player of the Week - Matt Evans, LB, New Hampshire
Evans turned in a double-digit tackle effort in New Hampshire's 27-21 win over Massachusetts at Gillette Stadium Saturday. The junior logged 13 tackles, seven being solo stops, broke up a pass and forced two fumbles. Evans and New Hampshire's defense limited the league's rushing leader in Jonathan Hernandez to 89 yards, 20 less than his average entering the game. The Wildcats, thanks to its defense, also won the turnover battle forcing two while not committing any on offense.

CAA Football Special Teams Player of the Week - Dontra Peters, KR/RB, New Hampshire
Peters, who earned the Colonial Clash game MVP honor and the Bill Knight Trophy, logged CAA Football Special Teams Player of the Week honors for his all-purpose work in the Wildcats' 27-21 win over Massachusetts. Peters tallied just over 200 all-purpose yards on the day including 98 yards on three kick returns. The junior rushed 13 times for 92 yards and two touchdowns and also contributed in the passing game by hauling in a team-high three catches for 18 yards.

CAA Football Rookie of the Week - Terrance West, RB, Towson
West continued his tear as one of the nation's top rookies, helping the Tigers to another win and himself to another CAA Football Rookie of the Week accolade -- his fourth of the year. The Baltimore, Md., native has now scored a league-best 14 touchdowns on the season, after finding the endzone three times in Towson's 38-27 win over William and Mary. The frosh carried the ball 21 times for a game-high 141 yards, two yards off the Tribe's rushing defense average it entered with Saturday. West has gone over the 100-yard rushing mark each of his last three games and is averaging close to 140 yards per contest in that span.
