CAA Football Players of the Week -- Oct. 10

RICHMOND, Va. (October 10, 2011) -- CAA Football announced its Player of the Week honorees, Monday, Oct. 10. Four individuals earned honors after showcasing superb efforts in contests played in Week 6 of the 2011 season, including Delaware's Paul Worrilow, Massachusetts' Jesse Julmiste, Richmond's Aaron Corp and Towson's Terrance West.

CAA Football Offensive Player of the Week - Aaron Corp, QB, Richmond
Corp had a record-setting night to earn CAA Football Offensive Player of the Week honors despite the Spiders' 31-28 loss at Towson. The senior completed 31-of-34 passes for a career-high 353 yards and two touchdowns. Corp's 91.2 completion percentage was both a single-game school record and set the FCS single-game record (min. 30 attempts). The Villa Park, Calif., native completed his first 15 passes of the night and did not have an incompletion until the third quarter. Corp engineered two fourth-quarter game-tying drives, including a 4-for-4 effort for 63 yards with just over 10 minutes left in the game then with two minutes left he put together a 5-for-6 sequence which spanned 64 yards in just over three minutes.

CAA Football Defensive Player of the Week - Paul Worrilow, LB, Delaware
Worrilow was part a defensive team effort in the Blue Hens' shutout win over William and Mary, helping him pick up CAA Football Defensive Player of the Week honors. The junior logged a team-high 11 tackles, but more importantly was the leader for a unit which kept the Tribe off the scoreboard for the first time in 14 years. Delaware limited William and Mary to just 210 yards of offense and held the Tribe to 1-of-13 in third-down conversions. William and Mary's last shutout loss also came against Delaware in Newark, a 14-0 Blue Hen win in 1997.

CAA Football Special Teams Player of the Week - Jesse Julmiste, KR, Massachusetts
Julmiste logged CAA Football Special Teams Player of the Week honors after his kick return efforts in UMass' 42-26 win over Central Connecticut State. The senior scored his second kick return touchdown of the season Saturday against the Blue Devils, running a 90-yarder back with eight-and-a-half minutes left in the contest. On the night Julmiste returned four kicks for 148 yards and also logged two rushes for 24 yards. Julmiste is averaging 32.9 yards per return on the year which leads the league and ranks third nationally.

CAA Football Rookie of the Week - Terrance West, RB, Towson
West picked up his second CAA Football Rookie of the Week accolade this season following his four-touchdown performance in Towson's 31-28 victory over Richmond. The Baltimore, Md., native carried the ball 21 times for the Tigers picking up a career-high 128 yards in the win. West's 24 points is a CAA Football single-game best on the year, while his 100-yard rushing game marks the first for Towson this season. The frosh, part of a Towson squad which is 2-0 in league play for the first time ever, has scored nine touchdowns in the four games he has played in this season.
