CAA Football Players of the Week -- Sept. 26

RICHMOND, Va. (September 26, 2011) -- CAA Football announced its Player of the Week honorees, Monday, Sept. 26. Four individuals earned honors after showcasing superb efforts in contests played in Week 4 of the 2011 season, including Delaware's Tim Donnelly, James Madison's Stephon Robertson and New Hampshire's R.J. Harris and Dontra Peters.

CAA Football Offensive Player of the Week - Tim Donnelly, QB, Delaware
Donnelly, who led Delaware to a CAA Football victory over Old Dominion Saturday, 27-17, earned CAA Football Offensive Player of the Week honors. The junior completed 26 of 39 passes for a career-high 304 yards and two touchdowns. Donnelly missed only one time in the second half completing 8-of-9 passes for 102 yards and a crucial go-ahead touchdown in the fourth quarter. After a 60-yard kickoff return by the Blue Hens with under nine minutes left in the game, Donnelly found Rob Jones for a 32-yard touchdown toss on the first play of the drive which gave UD the lead back. The quarterback then found Nihja White in the back of the endzone to make true on the two-point conversion pushing the margin to seven.

CAA Football Defensive Player of the Week - Stephon Robertson, LB, James Madison
Robertson garnered CAA Football Defensive Player of the Week honors after leading James Madison to a 20-14 win on the road against No. 6 William and Mary. Robertson finished the contest with six stops including one for a loss of a yard. He also forced a fumble late in the third quarter inside of William and Mary territory which led to a JMU touchdown. James Madison's defense, led by Robertson, held the Tribe to just three first-half first downs and only 64 yards of offense over the first 30 minutes of action.

CAA Football Special Teams Player of the Week - Dontra Peters, KR/RB, New Hampshire
Peters picked up CAA Football Special Teams Player of the Week honors after all-around return and offensive efforts in helping New Hampshire to a 45-43 win at No. 5 Richmond. The junior logged five kickoff returns for a 141 yards, including a second-half opening return of 70 yards which led to a Wildcat score. Offensively Peters carried the ball a team-high nine times for 64 yards and caught four passes for 56 yards.

CAA Football Rookie of the Week - R.J. Harris, WR, New Hampshire
Harris logged CAA Football Rookie of the Week accolades after playing an integral role in the Wildcats' 45-43 shootout win on the road against No. 5 Richmond. The frosh hauled in a team-high 12 catches for a career-best 120 yards and found the endzone twice for New Hampshire. Harris' first TD-catch of the game pulled the Wildcats to within three and got them on the board in the second quarter. His second score, a 47-yarder from quarterback Kevin Decker, proved to be the difference as it came with 2:45 left in the game and pushed UNH in front, 45-36.
